Giovanni and Giorgio Amendola, father and son, were both highly capable and dedicated Anti-Fascists. Each married a foreign and accomplished woman: Giovanni, a woman from a distinguished German-Russian intellectual family; Giorgio, a Parisian working class girl, who, to him, embodied Revolution.
